What is Federal Tax Authority (FTA)?
The UAE government body responsible for administering, collecting and enforcing federal taxes, including VAT, Excise Tax and Corporate Tax. It issues guidance, runs the EmaraTax portal, processes registrations and refunds, conducts tax audits and imposes penalties. Most UAE tax obligations are filed with the FTA.
