What is Government Controlled Entity?
An entity wholly owned and controlled by a UAE federal or local government that is specified in a Cabinet decision. Such entities are generally exempt from UAE Corporate Tax on their mandated activities, but income from any business activity carried on under a licence outside that mandate can be taxable. Confirm the scope of exemption and any taxable activities with the Federal Tax Authority.
