What is Import Permit?
An approval required before bringing certain goods into the UAE, in addition to a standard customs declaration. Permits are typically needed for regulated categories such as foodstuffs, medicines, chemicals, telecom equipment and some animals or plants, and are issued by the competent authority for that product. The permit must usually be in place before the goods arrive at the port.
