What is Return on Assets?
A profitability measure calculated as net profit divided by average total assets, indicating how efficiently a company uses its asset base to generate earnings. Because it ignores how assets are financed, it is useful for comparing operating performance across businesses with different capital structures. A higher figure reflects more productive asset use.
