What is VAT Fraction?
The formula used to work out the VAT element contained within a VAT-inclusive price. For a 5% rate this is one twenty-first of the gross amount, allowing a business to separate the net value from the tax already embedded in a tax-inclusive figure. It is commonly used for retail and simplified invoices. Confirm the correct calculation method for your prices with the FTA.
