What is Probationary Period (UAE)?
An initial trial phase at the start of UAE employment during which either party can assess suitability. Under the current Labour Law it may not exceed six months, and specific notice rules apply if either side ends the relationship during this time, including notice an employee must give before moving to another employer. Conditions can vary, so confirm the rules with MOHRE or a qualified adviser.
