What is Audit Assertion?
Audit assertions are the implicit or explicit claims management makes within the financial statements about transactions, balances and disclosures, such as existence, completeness, accuracy, valuation and rights and obligations. Auditors design procedures to gather evidence supporting each assertion, forming the basis for their opinion under the ISAs.
